Dr. Debranjani
Chattopadhyay is a Consultant in the Department of Clinical Hematology and
Cellular Therapies at Tata Medical Kolkata
Her journey in
Hematology started at Christian Medical College, Vellore, in 2015. She joined
the Hematology Department at Tata Medical Center in 2022, initially as a
Clinical Associate and later as a Consultant.
She completed her MBBS
from JIPMER – Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and
Research in 2008 and MD Internal Medicine from Madurai Medical College in 2014.
She then joined the Hematology Department at CMC Vellore, initially as a Senior
Resident from 2015 to 2018 and then as an Assistant Professor in CMC Vellore
from 2021 to 2022. She pursued her post-doctoral training (DM Hematology) at
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS Rishikesh).
Her areas of interest include- Chemotherapy
and Stem Cell Transplant treatment in
Acute Leukemias, Myeloproliferative Neoplasms, Myelodysplastic Syndromes,
Thalassemia, Aplastic Anaemia and treatment of ITP and other benign anaemias.
She is keenly interested in research – survival analysis outcomes and clinical
audits. She has many publications in peer-reviewed journals.
