Mayank Gupta completed his
undergraduate (MBBS) from T.N. Medical College and Nair Hospital, Mumbai
(Maharashtra University of Health sciences) in 2014, and went on to complete
postgraduate (MS, General Surgery) training from RG Kar Medical College, Kolkata,
in 2017. During this time he also cleared both steps to become a Member of the
Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS, England). He then completed three years of
training in urology at Institute of Nephro-Urology (Victoria Hospital,
Bangalore Medical College), Bangalore in 2020. Upon obtaining the MCh degree,
he continued as Assistant Professor in Urology at Bangalore Medical College and
Research Institute for a year. He also obtained a DrNB (Urology) degree during
this time. Mayank then returned to his hometown, Kolkata, and joined TMC as a
consultant in the Department of Urological Surgery (Uro-oncology) in February
2022. He recently obtained his Int. FRCS (Urology) degree in 2024, when he
passed the second step of the arduous Joint Surgical Colleges Fellowship
Examination (JSCFE), by the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of the UK. He is a
member of national and state societies of urology, and has a keen interest in
genito-urinary cancers, academics, CMEs, and also in patient care and
management. Apart from the professional curriculum, Mayank enjoys tennis,
working out at the gym, and reading.
