Dr. Avijit Banerjee was a Vattikuti Fellow in Robotic Uro-Oncology at Medanta – The Medicity,

Gurugram, where he trained under the mentorship of Dr. Gagan Gautam. He is an Intuitive-certified

robotic uro-oncosurgeon with expertise in minimally invasive urological cancer surgeries.

Dr. Banerjee completed his MBBS from IPGMER, Kolkata, followed by a DNB in General Surgery

from SE Railways Hospital, Kolkata, and an MCh in Urology from Sri Ramachandra Medical

College, Chennai.

He has presented his research at leading international platforms, including the European

Association of Urology (EAU), and has contributed to peer-reviewed publications such as the BMJ.

He is also a recipient of the USI Travelling Fellowship and has trained in one of the most

competitive robotic urology fellowship programs globally.

His areas of interest include robot-assisted surgery, uro-oncology, and clinical research, with a

focus on advancing minimally invasive techniques and improving patient outcomes through

innovation.
