Dr. Apurva Ashok is a Consultant in Thoracic surgery at Tata Medical Center, Kolkata. She completed her MBBS from M S Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore and DNB (General Surgery) from Southern Railway Headquarters hospital, Chennai. Later she pursued fellowship training in Thoracic oncosurgery at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. Subsequently, she obtained a fellowship in Thoracic surgery from University of Toronto (UHN), Canada. She joined Tata Medical Center, Kolkata in June 2023 as Consultant in Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Ashok started the minimally invasive (VATS) lung surgeries at Tata Medical Center. She is also well versed in endoscopic airway procedures such as EBUS and tracheobronchial stenting. Her areas of interests include lung and oesophageal cancers.
