Dr. Divyani Chowdhury is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at Tata Medical Center, Kolkata,
with expertise in the multidisciplinary management of thoracic, gastrointestinal,
hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB), and breast cancers. She completed her MD in Radiation
Oncology from Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bengaluru, and subsequently
underwent Clinical Oncology Fellowship training at Tata Medical Center before pursuing an international Clinical Fellowship in Upper Gastrointestinal (UGI) and Hepato-Pancreatico-
Biliary (HPB) Oncology at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, Manchester, United Kingdom.
She holds the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR), UK, and has
extensive experience in modern radiotherapy techniques including MR LINAC,
Intensity-Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT), Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT), Image-Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT), Stereotactic Radiotherapy (SRT/SBRT), and
brachytherapy. Her clinical practice emphasizes evidence-based, personalized cancer care
delivered through multidisciplinary collaboration.
Dr. Chowdhury has a strong academic and research background, serving as a reviewer for
several international journals. She has been actively involved in investigator-initiated clinical
trials, protocol development, national radiotherapy quality assurance initiatives, and
translational oncology research. Her work has been presented at international scientific
meetings including ESTRO and ESMO, and she has published in peer- reviewed oncology
journals.
Her professional interests include precision radiotherapy, gastrointestinal and thoracic oncology, breast cancer, MR-guided adaptive radiotherapy, clinical trials, and the integration
of advanced technologies to improve cancer outcomes.
