Dr Rimpa Achari received her MD in Radiation Oncology at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow in 2001 and then moved on to Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai for further experience. Dr Achari spent time in Duke University Medical Center as an UICC fellow understanding and learning the nuances of pediatric image guided radiation therapy.
She has a special interest in the management of the central nervous system, pediatric and hematolymphoid tumours. Her current focus lies in the implications of integrated molecular diagnosis and radiomic research in glial tumours. She is passionate about incorporating multimodality imaging within the radiation oncology planning and delivery chain. She has ongoing clinical imaging research projects that are evaluating high grade glioma radiomics, incorporation of deep inspiration breath hold CT for mediastinal lymphoma RT and has recently completed a DBT funded trial to investigate the role of metabolic imaging for radiotherapy planning at Tata Medical Center.
