Dr. Robin Thambudorai is Senior Consultant in GI surgery at Tata Medical Center, Kolkata. He completed his MBBS and MS (Surgery) from Christian Medical College Ludhiana. Later he underwent fellowship training in Upper GI Surgery at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney and Royal Perth Hospital, Perth, Australia. Thereafter he continued in various faculty positions at Christian Medical College, Ludhiana and was Professor and Chief of the Upper GI unit. He joined Tata Medical Center, Kolkata in April 2013 as Consultant Upper GI and Thoracic surgeon. Dr. Thambudorai also started the Peritoneal Surface Malignancy programme at Tata Medical Center. His special interests include oesophageal and lung cancer and peritoneal surface malignancy
