Dr Vikram Kekatpure is a Senior Consultant, Head and Neck Surgeon
at Tata Medical Center, Kolkata. He has two decades of experience and
previously, having worked as Senior consultant and head, Mazumdar Shaw cancer
center, Narayana Health, Bangalore and Aster CMI hospital, Bangalore. He completed
his MBBS and MS from Nagpur University and MCh (head and neck surgery) from
Amrita Institute of medical sciences Kochi. He received research fellowship from
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer center, New York and post-doctoral research training
at the Weill Medical College of the Cornell University, New York City.
Dr Vikram holds leadership positions in various national and
international academic societies. He has served as the national secretary and
treasurer of the Foundation for Head and Neck Oncology, national association of
head and neck oncologists in India. He is an executive member of the head and
neck cooperative oncology group. He has several peer reviewed national and
international publications and has been an invited speaker at many national and
international conferences.
Dr Vikram has special interests in management of
advanced head and neck cancers, salvage surgery, complex post ablative reconstruction
and rehabilitation, management of thyroid and laryngeal cancers. His research
interests include tobacco carcinogenesis and tumor metastasis.
