Dr. Chatterji completed his M.B.B.S from IPGME&R, SSKM hospital, the premier institute of West Bengal, with an honours and a gold medal. He then pursued his post graduate training at the only school of Tropical Medicine in India (The Calcutta School of Tropical Medicine) and completed his MD in Tropical Medicine. Following this he briefly joined Tata Medical Center, Kolkata as a fellow in Infectious Diseases in Oncology and worked here for 9 months till he was selected For D.M (Infectious Diseases) at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. During his tenure at A.I.I.M.S he visited the Oxford University Hospitals, U.K for a short visiting fellowship in Infectious Diseases. After completion of his D.M in Infectious Diseases training from A.I.I.M.S, New Delhi he immediately joined back his old institute. He has been working here since then. He has a number of national and international publications. He is keenly interested in Transplant Infections, HIV and adult immunization in addition to general Infectious Diseases and Medicine.
