We are pleased to inform you that Tata Medical Center, Kolkata, and the Indian Society of Blood Transfusion & Immunohaematology (ISBTI) are jointly organizing a CME titled “Recent Advances in Transfusion Medicine” on 25th October 2025.
This program is designed for postgraduate trainees, senior residents, fellows, junior faculty, and medical professionals with an interest in transfusion medicine and immunohaematology. In recent times, the evolving role of transfusion medicine in clinical practice has become increasingly important. The program aims to behold and learn from this amazing journey of the evolution of transfusion science and evidence-based transfusion practices.
The program will be a one-day event dedicated to lectures and oral papers by the postgraduate trainees in transfusion medicine. The academic event aims to provide attendees with a foundational understanding of transfusion medicine while also introducing them to recent advancements in the field. The program features lecture sessions led by distinguished international and national faculty, covering a broad spectrum of topics in transfusion medicine. These topics range from thalassemia care to cellular therapy and include aspects related to blood donor safety. The program will emphasize the fact that at the end, the attendees should be able to understand the changing landscapes of transfusion medicine in various clinical settings.
